I have been taking a very large break from programming. I'm essentially still on that break. I've essentially forgotton a good portion of whatever skill I had at BASIC; FreeBASIC isn't even on my system anymore because I program so seldom. I've been focusing on web design and administration, mostly, at least in the technology department. More of my time has been devoted into writing, and after discovering LaTeX I've gotten into writing with that and my favourite text editor Vim.

When looking through my folders I saw all the projects I've abandoned and forgotten about, and I remembered InfroPortal. I looked at it, and I saw how badly I had coded it. I thought some of the sources I viewed from other programmers were ad-hoc! I must apologise to Marcade for this.

Anyways, this site needs some fixing. Good fixing, and not just some random abandoned project either. It needs updates. Software updates, and some fuffilling of promises made long ago now.

Looking to the future of this site, I see a few things to keep me occupied programming-wise:

• InfroPortal Excelsior: This is an attempt to rewrite InfroPortal. Previously the system was designed in such a way that modules were not contained very well by themselves. This system addresses that problem as well as adding enhanced skinning mechanisms, a configuration panel, et cetera.
• Gutiskablath: The Gothic Language Toolkit project. Subprojects are fonts (serif, sans-serif, monospace), a keymap, and plugin for Mediawiki for conversion between Latin and Gothic.
• SID Songs: I've found the program GoatTracker, and I might release a few SIDs if I ever get around to making something good with them.
• Web Designs: I can post some of my web design stuff and create a little portfolio section.
• TCYN Wiki: The Code You Need was shut down and I'd like to get it up again.
• Licences: I can enhance the licence I had already created, and add a documentation licence.
• About me: About me needs to be updated.
• Forum: The forum could be better.
• Links: They need to be flayed for broken links.
• Chat: I don't know why I have this since this site isn't ever active enough to require it.
